Solar Lights for the Barn Are Great!
I got these lights to set up solar lighting in our new horse barn. Coming from rural backgrounds, both my wife and I have seen families lose barns to electrical fires, so I wanted to go with solar to avoid those risks in a dusty environment. They're not super bright, but they give off enough light to safely tend to the horses early in the morning, and I'm happy with them! Just a heads up, I had to make a few adjustments to get everything working the way I wanted. I needed a wall switch to turn the lights on when entering the tack room, instead of relying on the standard dusk-activated switch. This set doesn't come with a switch, and I also needed about ten feet of wire to reach from the solar array to the new switch since the product only includes around three feet. The modifications were pretty straightforward. Since it's low voltage, I didn't have to worry about shocks. I picked up a 25' roll of 14/2 NM wire, a simple light switch, and a junction box for about $30. I mounted the solar array outside and connected the wiring, which was easy to figure out. The lights attached nicely to the barn eaves with #6 drywall screws. After connecting everything, I spent around four hours wrapping up the project, and now my lights come on with the switch instead of at dusk. It's for getting to the barn before sunrise without any risk of electrical hazards, which is a huge relief.

Great lights with solid support

Now we can flip on the lights before dawn with no worries about electrical hazards. For our needs!

7 hour lights
I got these lights and followed the instructions that said they had some charge to start with. Unfortunately, they didn’t turn on at first. I reached out for help, and they were really great about it—sent me a new set within two days! I had hoped to get them up for guests on July 15, but the replacements arrived on July 17. Now, they work perfectly and stay on all night. The light is just right and has a warm glow, which I love. I’m happy with my purchase. We live in California's central valley, so they get plenty of sunlight. However, I wanted to update that as of August 18, one of the bulbs started flickering and then went off. It’s a bit disappointing since I’ve only had them for a month. They gave me a number to call about the three-year warranty, but I had trouble getting through. Eventually, they did return my call and sent me a new bulb. The person I spoke with was helpful, and now all my solar lights are working great. I'm glad I got these!
