Quality lights for our vintage lanterns
I bought these lights at full price because they seemed like exactly what I needed to restore a set of colorful lanterns we use at our summer cottage. I had a tough time finding a replacement for the old bulb size, and I was tired of low-quality lights that didn’t last. After searching a lot, I finally found these Brightech LED lights and decided to go for them. They’re pretty much the best string lights I’ve ever come across. The set comes with 15 sockets, but I only needed 12 for my lanterns, so I have a few extras. It also includes 16 beautiful LED bulbs, packaged really well, so I won’t be worrying about replacing them anytime soon. They’re much brighter than what you'd expect from typical Christmas lights, which is great for my setup. The rubberized socket ends feel sturdy and seem like they’ll hold up outside, even though mine will be under a covered porch. I’m optimistic that these lights will last a long time, and I can’t wait to put them back up when the summer comes around again. They’re worth the investment, and I feel good about my choice, especially compared to all the cheap options out there. If you’re considering them, go for it! I’m happy I did.

I bought 4 of these light sets and they are just as described, maybe even better. They feel heavy duty and the build quality is great. The packaging was impressive too. Each bulb was wrapped in bubble wrap and packed in its own box, which was all packed inside the main box—very secure for shipping. I connected all 4 strands end to end and they almost reached 40 feet. I zigzagged them between the pool enclosure and some poles I set up. I used a coated stainless steel cable to hang the lights so there wasn’t much tension on the cords. These lights are heavier than others I’ve seen, so keep that in mind for whatever you're hanging them from. I hope the extra weight means they’ll last longer in the Florida sun. I usually test lights before hanging them, but these looked so good that I just went for it. After lots of trips up and down the ladder, I was happy to find that all the strands lit up perfectly! They're bright, but I need a dimmer to tone it down for our setup since they outshine the other lights. After parties, I can turn them up, which is handy for cleaning. I did get the -100 dimmer, but it made the strands flicker, which was annoying. I’m going to try a regular bulb to see if that helps. My neighbors love them and commented on how nice they look. I've only had them up for a few days, so I can't say anything about long-term use, but so far, they are exactly what I hoped for!

I’m really happy with my Brightech Pro LED light strands! I bought them to drape over my 6-foot privacy fence surrounding my "secret garden"—which I’ve been dreaming about for years. It’s this wonderful enclosed space with a brick floor, an iron chimenea, chairs, and even a koi pond. Previously, I had some C9 lights that didn’t look good and the fuses didn’t last long. The Brightech strands are top-notch. They look industrial, and the S14 bulbs are bright, allowing me to enjoy my space at night, but they’re energy efficient at just 2 watts each. My only issue was with the dimmer suggested. It turned out to be an interior one, so I ended up using a light controller that I placed in a bucket to protect it from the elements. It works well, but I think a weatherproof dimmer should be recommended. I now have two 48-foot strands lighting up my garden beautifully, and I’m planning to get another strand soon for the decks. I also ordered extra bulbs since they’re not something you find everywhere. Highly recommend this product—it has gone beyond what I expected!

I didn’t realize how heavy-duty these lights would be; they’re way heavier than similar sets I’ve seen at other stores. Just something to keep in mind for how you hang them. I hope the added weight means they last longer in Florida's heat. Usually, I would test lights before installing them, but they looked so good I just went for it. After climbing up and down a ladder a hundred times, I was relieved to see that all four strands worked perfectly when I turned them on! They’re pretty bright, and I found that I need a dimmer for how I want to use them. They really stand out compared to the other lights, which can be a bit much.
