Perfect choice!
This headboard is just beautiful. I’ve never owned one before, which might sound odd, but I finally decided to get one. I scoured probably 100 headboards and this was the one I stuck with after returning a couple of others. The shipping from Hawkins Woodshop was smooth, and I appreciate how easy the return process was! The headboard itself is heavy and sturdy, plus the fabric looks great. The stitching is done really well, and the tweed texture along with the buttons adds such a nice touch. Assembly was straightforward; it took me about half an hour on my own. Just a tip: don’t tighten everything until you’ve got all the screws in on both sides; that way you can adjust as needed. In the picture, you can see my headboard is set to the lowest position. Since my mattress sits low, I plan to add some decorative pillows. It would also fit perfectly with taller beds. As for moving it, it’s a bit bulky, so it’s helpful to unpack it on the porch and then carry it upstairs. It weighs roughly 80 pounds with the legs and sideboards but honestly looks like a $2000 headboard while costing much less! You don’t need to attach it to the bed frame; it’s solid and won’t budge when the bed leans against it. I do wish the color was just a tad darker gray, but it's perfectly represented in the photos. If you're on the fence about getting a headboard to elevate your bedroom, this is the one!

Great quality for what you pay. It was simple to put together. While it doesn't connect to my bedframe, it fits perfectly between the tall mattresses and the wall without any issues. I really like the detailing on the corners and the nailheads; it sets this headboard apart from others. The material is soft chenille and has no odor at all. It showed up in condition. Really Nice Headboard - Worth It!
This headboard looks fantastic and wasn’t too tricky to put together. I do want to mention that it’s pretty heavy! I managed to move it from my porch to my bedroom by myself, but it was a bit of a workout. The box is quite large, so it’s easier if you have someone to help. It took me around 30 minutes to assemble, and everything lined up nicely. I chose not to attach it to my bed frame—just leaning it against the wall works perfectly. As a retired interior designer, I was impressed by the quality and value of this piece. The fabric feels soft and looks great. A couple of tips: if you have an allen wrench drill bit for your drill, assembly will go much quicker. Also, the steel legs inside the headboard are tied with fabric strips, so you get some material samples if you want to match it with your bedding. Pretty neat!
