Solid and Comfy, but Shape is Weird
This mattress is definitely sturdy and comfy, but it has a strange lumpy shape—sort of like a trapezoid instead of a rectangle. It sticks out about 5 inches on each side when flat and about 10 inches at the bottom when it's raised. I try to adjust it, but it keeps sliding back down. It feels like it’s way too big for the frame, so I wonder if they sent the wrong size. Repacking it for a return seemed too tough, so I just kept it since it is comfy, but it doesn't look as nice as the pictures.

Very Happy with This Futon!
This futon is awesome! It got here quicker than I expected, and putting the frame together was pretty straightforward. The instructions were a little tricky at first, but once I figured out which pieces matched up with the pictures, it went smoothly. I managed to put it all together in about an hour and a half on my own. I received it in three FedEx packages; the first two had the frame, and they showed up together. The bigger package was the heaviest, but the FedEx guy easily carried it up to the third floor without any trouble. The last package with the mattress arrived two days later. It’s best to have someone help with that one since it’s about 40-50 pounds, but it’s not too heavy. The frame itself is nice and works perfectly. It’s solid and easily folds out into a bed, although the thick mattress does make that a bit awkward. But that's to be expected for a thicker mattress. Speaking of which, the mattress is great! It’s soft but still has a good amount of firmness. You sink in just enough without losing support, which is exactly what I wanted. Just a heads up: the throw pillows don't come with it, but that wasn't a big deal for me since I have plenty already.

This review is a bit longer than usual, but I wanted to break it down into sections. First off, the frame is made of really nice hardwood, and it’s smooth with a good finish. The hardware feels solid and fits the job well. Now, putting it together took us about two hours. There are a lot of parts, and the included allen wrench helps, but you might need a screwdriver for some of the bolts. It’s easy to feel a bit overwhelmed at first, but the instructions are clear with helpful pictures. Just remember, don’t dump all the pieces out at once and try to wing it. Follow the steps closely and check the drawings, and you should be good to go. Just a heads-up, the instructions cover different models, so some pieces might look a bit different than shown. Take a close look before you start. As for the mattress, it arrives heavy-duty and vacuum packed. Open that up first to let it breathe since it can take a couple of days to fully decompress. It has a bit of a smell, which might fade over time, but we’re not sure yet if it’ll end up feeling lumpy or if we’ll need a cover. In terms of sturdiness, it feels solid. Just a note, when you fold it down into a bed, the back of the futon sticks out more than when it’s upright, so make sure it’s not pushed against a wall. Putting sliders under the legs would help with moving it around. Overall, it’s a great piece of furniture, but we have a small worry about the mattress quality. If I could, I’d give it four and a half stars.

Sturdy, Strong, and Spacious – Just Beautiful!
I put this together with my son, and it took us about two hours. The only tricky part was connecting the frame to the sides for the gliding function, but once we figured that out, we were good to go. It looked a bit overwhelming with all the pieces, but the instructions were clear. Definitely a two-person job in my opinion. The piece is sturdy and we’ve had it for a year now. My son (17) enjoys it. It adjusts effortlessly and is quite spacious and comfy. The blue mattress is a lovely shade too! We didn’t even need a futon cover, just added some sheets.
