Great bar stools
I was worried these would look too rugged for our kitchen since they have that leather quilted thing going on. My husband wanted them though, so I went with it. He was at work when they arrived, so I assembled them myself - pretty straightforward to put together. They look good and feel comfortable to sit in. Plus they have actual back support, which is nice. The fabric seems solid and they hold up well. We did have a mix-up with our order at first - got 4 chairs instead of 5 - but Colby got it sorted within a few days. Would definitely order from Hawkins Woodshop again.

These turned out to be just the style and fit I was after. Getting in and out is simple without having to shove the seat back. The height adjustment works great for both grown-ups and children. This thing is comfortable. I've spent hours parked on it while working at my kitchen counter and it holds up well. Really solid build. Only thing I'd change is the footrest could be pushed out a bit more—like 2 or 3 inches further—because right now I have to keep my legs kind of bent back to keep my feet on it properly.

Really nice items. Easy assembly, look great! Very stable too! One issue i had is the uneven bases. I bought 6, and 2 x had unstable bases. Hawkins Woodshop asked for photos, which didn't really show the bow in the base itself. Once the photos were sent, i never got an answer. Overall, 4/5*! Would buy again!

Pneumatic strut.
Already submitted review, but basically they have air pressure struts like office chairs, so when you sit on them they drop down a few inches depending on your weight. Ours are fully extended and when I sit on chair it drops to about correct level. Don't know what happens after long sitting. All rest good
