Stylish and Practical
I've been looking for the perfect cutting board for a while, and after a lot of searching, I decided on this one from Hawkins Woodshop. It's exactly what I wanted—simple and effective with a great design. I don’t like any extra features that could trap germs, so this board is since it’s just a solid piece. It's a nice size, reversible, and made of wood, which I appreciate since I’ve read that it's better for both knives and health. The label on the edge was easy to remove as long as you peel it off gently. I’ve heard some folks mention rough surfaces on bamboo boards, but I found this one was fine after a quick light sanding with fine-grit paper. I used Spectrum Naturals Organic Refined Sunflower Oil for conditioning, and it worked great—no stickiness, just a nice finish. I’ve got a couple of boards, one for meat and one for veggies, and having them both reversible is a real bonus. The other board I got from Ikea works, but I prefer this one overall. I'm happy with my purchase!

Originalmente compre el set de 3 tablas para picar de Totally Bambo y estaba muy contento al inicio. Cuanto mas las use, me di cuenta que no eran lo suficientemente grandes para poder cortar de manera comoda todo lo que queria y busque alternativas. Esta tabla es un poco mas grande que las del set de 3, pero se aprovecha mucho mejor el espacio en esta al no tener "agarraderas" en el area de corte, asi toda la tabla se puede usar sin problemas. La tabla es un poco mas gruesa de lo que pense y me agrada bastante, creo que va a ser mas dificil que se deforme y ademas se ve bastante bonita lo cual es un buen plus.
