Sturdy, Minimalist Desk
I’m really happy with this desk from Hawkins Woodshop. It has a sleek, modern, and simple design that's for my computer setup. If you’re okay with no drawers or anything fancy like monitor arms, this desk works great. I wanted more space after building my new PC, and this desk has plenty of room on top and great clearance underneath. Even though it’s straightforward, it’s sturdy, and I don't have any issues there. Huge thanks to Hawkins Woodshop for the packaging! The outer box had a little damage, but the desk was packed so well that there wasn’t a single mark on it from shipping. Assembly was a breeze; the instructions were clear and easy to follow. I put it together while watching a basketball game, and using a #4 hex driver sped things up a lot compared to the tool that came with it. The metal mesh at the back is handy for cable management and keeps everything tidy. My only slight critiques are that it’s quite generic and feels a bit like a knock-off of the trendy old-door desk concept. The lack of drawers was a bit disappointing, but you can always add something later like I did. It would be cool if they offered more options, maybe add-ons like drawers or different colors. Overall, this desk fits my needs perfectly and I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a simple, modern workspace.

I spent a lot of time searching for a desk that was affordable, easy to put together, and most importantly, sturdy. I'm really glad I decided on this one. The top looks solid in the pictures, and I can confirm it is! It's thick and seems like it can hold up well. The whole thing feels strong and doesn't wobble at all, unlike my previous desk. Putting it together by myself took about 20 minutes, and while a second person might make it faster, the instructions were clear. I loved that the screws were neatly organized in separate pouches instead of being mixed up in a bag. Plus, there was an extra set of screws and even another allen wrench, which is a thoughtful touch in case you need them later. I've had it for a couple of weeks now, and everything's been great. The little trapdoor for cable management is clever and helps keep things tidy. My only minor issue is that the design doesn’t allow for anything to clip onto the sides or back, like a monitor arm or headphone rack. But if you can manage without those, this desk is just right!
