Great for Our Board Games!
We're a family that loves board games, but we've kept them tucked away and ended up forgetting about them. We needed something that displayed them nicely in our home. We wanted a shelf that (1) looked good, (2) was sturdy, (3) fit in a certain spot, and (4) had shelves that made sense for our games. This shelf ticks all those boxes! It feels really solid, and those adjustable legs help since our floor isn't flat. It looks in our space, and the shelf sizes are for our games! We're happy with it, and we've been playing much more since we got it!

I found these shelves pretty straightforward to put together. If you’ve assembled furniture like this before, you’ll find it just as easy as the rest. Once it was all set up, it looked just like the images. It’s a really nice option for showing off decor. The quality seems solid too; the shelves feel sturdy enough for light items. I wouldn’t recommend putting something heavy like an aquarium on it, but for decorative pieces, it works perfectly!

Mixed Experience with Assembly Issues
I originally gave this shelf a one-star rating because I had a pretty rough experience. I’ve updated it to three stars because Colby reached out after my review and sent me a replacement at no cost, which I appreciate. They were very understanding and didn't even ask for the old one back, just requested some photos to help improve the product. The shelf itself is decent quality, but I still can’t give it more than one star due to my issues. First off, the unit I received had several holes that weren't pre-threaded, making it impossible to fully assemble as the bolts wouldn’t screw in. Also, the box arrived looking like it had been through a war and the wire mesh on the back was bent. The assembly instructions are pretty confusing too; the pictures help but there's no clear indication of front and back, so it’s easy to mess up the parts. My fiancé and I ended up spending way too long trying to put it together—longer than it takes to build an IKEA wardrobe, and that has way more steps! When I managed to get some bolts in without the threaded holes, some of the inset nuts ended up coming out of the wood. Since there were no threads, it tightened so much that taking it apart would have ruined the panels. With the damaged box, faulty product, and the struggle to disassemble without breaking it, I don’t think I’ll be ordering from Hawkins Woodshop again.
