The instructions and organized parts packaging made it very straight forward and easy to put together ---it was over a month ago, but I think it took me about 1 1/2 hours by myself (old man -77). No noise whatsoever when moving around on the bed. I highly recommend it. (and no I am not being compensated in any way). P. S. I bought one of those mattresses in a box with the narrow coil springs so I bought some very thin wood panels from Home Depot and placed over the wood slats on this bed to provide additional support for all the coils.
