I had an old wood frame box spring that was 9 inches high, and my aging dogs were struggling to jump up on the bed. Switched to this 5 inch box spring and it made a huge difference for them. Stable and quiet
Bought this 5" one to replace the standard queen box spring for my aging parents to make it easier to get into and out of bed. This lowered the mattress by approximately 5 inches, which makes a big difference. It's been a week now and they say it is stable and quiet. As other reviews say, you will do yourself a big favor by finding a 10MM socket with a small ratchet before attempting to put it together. You can do it with the included tools, but trust me, that will help A lot.

It’s a good and sturdy box spring for a decent price. I put this together on my own, and found it very easy. It did take me over an hour, but that’s with pauses in between putting it together. It’s also quiet, no noise at all when moving around. I do want to mention that the first set I received was missing a few parts, but I was able to send the first one back and get a new (complete) set a few days later. I bought this box spring to elevate a platform bed. Product was thoughtfully packaged in a way that it was not damaged yet was easy to unbox without a lot of excess packaging materials. It was not complicated to assemble. In terms of the box spring itself, it is solid. Material is of a good quality and the assembled product is sturdy and stable. Thus far, no issues with it being squeaky. I bought a full size one and it fit the bed and mattress perfectly.

Good product, not so good assembly
Purchased the queen box spring assembly. 5-star rating for the overall product itself. It is about 59-1/2" wide which sits within a 60" bed frame nicely (your bed frame should typically have a 1/2" lip on each side rail for the box spring to lay upon). Construction seems sturdy, I see no obvious reason it should or would fail structurally, time will tell.3-star rating for assembly. The premise is simple, however, count on crawling around all over the floor like a kid in order to assemble (not so easy for this old body of mine!) The screws are coated with some kind of blue-vinyl on the threads, making it difficult to thread the nuts on the ends of the screws by hand or even with the useless cheap wrenches supplied. Do yourself a favor right from the start - find a 10mm wrench, and a cordless drill with an allen wrench attachment. It will save you from much displeasure, just do not tighten down all the bolts until everything is assembled. The corner pieces are a complete hassle. I had no less than 3 screw holes that were not threaded properly from factory. I needed to improvise, rethread them. Needless to say, I had choice words for this company by then! Cover is nice material, though it should have a better fastening system than just 2 pieces of velcro. This will never hold over time. Looks good though after assembly, so I split the difference in rating the product and gave it 4-stars.

This box spring did the job. It was easy to understand the instructions. I was able to put it together myself with relative ease. Just be aware, it will take an hour to put together. It can be a bit tedious, but it is not difficult. I found it easy to move it myself to the bed frame. It fit on the frame with no issue. The mattress feels stable on it and is supported, but I do wonder about it just being some beams. I think the stability will last. Might be an issue for foam mattresses. I will update if not. The cover is nice, and I like the black color. Overall, I do think this is worth it in general.
