Great quality, very heavy and sturdy! Took a while to put together but it’s well worth it. Doors close and work well and stay on track. It’s multifunction in my house for decor and hidden storage.

We’re using it for food storage, and the build quality is excellent — especially for the price. The packaging was very secure, and it arrived early and in perfect condition. The cabinet is heavy, sturdy, and offers great storage capacity. Assembly took me about 3.5 hours on my own. All parts were clearly labeled, and the instructions were easy to follow. Solid piece for the price!
This sideboard is a very solid and sturdy piece. It’s heavy (my husband had to help move it), which speaks to the quality of the build. Assembly went smoothly. He was able to put it together without any issues. The push-to-open doors work well, and the fluted design on the front adds a really nice modern touch. The color was a little different than I expected. I thought it would be more of a solid black, but it’s actually a dark gray. Still, it looks beautiful in my office and fits the space perfectly. I’ve purchased from this brand before and was impressed with the quality, which is why I came back to them again. Overall, a great storage option that feels sturdy and looks stylish.

Great Quality, Substantial, A Bargain
We purchased a set of two of these after reviewing similar/identical cabinets at other sites. The Hawkins Woodshop pricing was a huge bargain for what we got, maybe 50% less than other vendors. These are heavy in a good way, and all the pieces fit properly with a little nudging and careful wielding of screwdriver and Allen wrench. This is a well-made product that is relatively simple to assemble. Getting the doors aligned to each other and minimizing gaps was the trickiest part. The family thinks it looks good. I note that at this writing there's a "frequently returned item" warning on the Hawkins Woodshop page. But checking the reviews there are just two people who returned it, and that was for parts damaged in shipping. That seems to happen with all heavy products sometimes. The only real con is that the finish can scratch a little easily. (Despite the heft and fit, it's still just mdf with a veneer, like everything else.)At the time we purchased this (late 2025) it was a great bargain for good quality, and I'd recommend it.
