Use the right screws!

This table is nice, but I mostly have to blame myself for my mistake. I got the used version to save some cash, but when I opened it, I found that one of the top panels had holes on the face where the screws should go. That was a little annoying, but I knew I was taking a chance buying used. While putting it together, I figured out what happened to the last person... There are three different screws in different lengths, and I used one that was too long, which made an extra hole. Now I'm stuck trying to fix those little dents I made. Maybe if the two top pieces fit together better, it would look a bit nicer, but I guess that’s the trade-off for buying the used one. Overall, you get what you pay for, and it's important to read the product description and instructions closely. I still gave it 5 stars because it meets my expectations, and I plan to keep it.

Decent side table for the price, a couple of improvements would help

This side table is pretty solid for what I paid. I chose the non-plug option since the plug placements didn’t work for what I needed; I'm using it for my docking station and to hold a 17" laptop. Pros: it went together easily, and everything was packed well with pieces clearly labeled. The size is good, and it can be adjusted taller or shorter, taller than a lot of similar options out there. Cons: the top comes in two pieces (I knew that before I bought it, so not a huge deal, but it would look nicer as a single piece). The height adjustment just relies on pressure without any notches, which might make it less stable over time. I wish it had something sturdier here. For strength, I'd rate it about a 6 out of 10. It holds my laptop just fine, but shelves with this "c" shape usually have some inherent weaknesses. The metal isn’t particularly thick or heavy, which is why I docked a couple of points there. All in all, for the price, it’s worth it. Given how little I’ll be using it, I expect it to last a decent while.
