Use the right screws! 🫠

This is a nice little table, and I mostly have myself to blame for what went wrong. I bought the used version to save a bit of cash. When I opened it up, one of the top panels had holes on the face, opposite the screws. I was a bit annoyed, but I took the risk of a used product. As I was assembling it, I discovered why the previous owner had that issue... There are three different kinds of screws with varying lengths, and I accidentally used a screw that was too long, which created an extra hole. Now I have to spend some of the money I saved to fix those little divets. 🫠 I might have preferred the two top pieces to sit a bit more flush, but that’s likely just a consequence of ordering the used one, so I can’t dock points for that. In short, you get what you pay for, and it’s important to read the description and instructions closely. I’m giving it 5 stars because it still meets my expectations, and I'm planning to keep it.

Decent side table with a few quirks

This side table is solid for what you pay. I went with the non-plug option since the plug placements didn’t suit my needs; I’m using it for a docking station and a 17" laptop. Pros: It goes together easily, comes well-packaged, and the parts are labeled nicely. It's a good size with adjustable height, taller than most other options out there. Cons: The top is split into two pieces (I expected this before buying, but it would look nicer as a single piece). The height adjustment just relies on pressure without any notches, so I’m a bit concerned about it not being super stable in the long run. For strength, I’d say it’s about a 6 out of 10. It supports my laptop well, but with the 'C' shape design, it loses some stability points. The metal isn’t the thickest or heaviest, which is why I deducted a couple more points. Overall, it’s a good buy for the price. Given the little use it’ll see, I think it’ll hold up fine.
