Amazing Dog Crate 10 Stars!!!
We hit the jackpot with this crate - it’s great. It took maybe 30 seconds to put it together - it basically snaps together on both ends and that’s it. It’s extremely well construction, high quality manufactured, made from high quality materials, and reasonably priced too. We got the 36 inch size and it might be a little big for some but we love the size too. Nice that the dog can see out and we can see in. I am so glad that I listened to the reviews here because they are spot on! A highly highly highly recommend this crate. And I just bought a second one for our other dog. First one was for our 7 month old puppy. Can’t rave about this crate enough. And if you can’t figure out how to put it together or take it down (collapse it), there is a video right here on Hawkins Woodshop that shows exactly how to do it. How do you break this thing down?
I like this crate much better than the typical wire crate which can be very flimsy. There were no instructions at all inside the box about how to set up the crate or break it down. Setting it up was no problem as it is quite intuitive and straightforward. I had it set up in just a couple minutes. However, taking it down may be much more difficult as there are no directions for it and I’m not sure how it can be done by only one person. For some reason an Allen wrench was included with the package, but no information at all as to why or how it should be used. One feature I really don’t like is the way the door is set into the opening. The pivot is much too far towards the center of the opening so that it cuts off about 1/3 of the access space. This might be a problem for larger heavier, dogs as it makes the opening much smaller. Also, it’s very difficult to attach any kind of a water or food bowl to the inside of the crate. Unlike a regular wire crate the wire on this one is a much heavier gauge, and there are areas of plastic siding separating the upper lower sections. This doesn’t give much space to attach a water bowl and it is much more difficult to get fingers inside the mesh to tighten the bolts on a typical one food or water bowl. Overall, it’s a really nice sturdy crate and much more attractive than the typical wire ones. I just hope I don’t have to take it down anytime soon!

We love this crate! We have a 7 month old Pitbull. We use this for daily use and then take it with us when we travel. I’m not the most handy when it comes to setting up/tearing down and I figured it out immediately. There’s plenty of handles to make it easy to carry, and it’s fairly light considering it holds our 45 lb (and growing) puppy comfortably. She has plenty of space without it being too much, but it collapses down and easily fits behind the front seats in either of our vehicles. We also have a 65 lb pit who’s gotten curious and gone inside and he too has fit comfortably. It also doesn’t look too bulky when set up. We’ve had it in our living room for months and haven’t found it to be intrusive. The surfaces/material make it easy to wipe down or spray off if needed. We’ve had this for a few months now (maybe 3?) and so far so good! She’s even tried to chew the bars and base of the door and her pitty mouth hasn’t managed to damage it badly (photos for reference). Worth the price so far!
