I’m really happy with the desk I got from Hawkins Woodshop. It arrived surprisingly quick for such a large item, and it looks beautiful. It’s heavy and feels well made, plus putting it together was pretty straightforward. Adjusting the height is smooth and doesn’t disturb anything on top. My only issue was a matter of preference—my husband found the tapered ends weren't to his liking because he likes to keep his arms level while typing. So, we decided to return it. Thankfully, Hawkins Woodshop made the return easy with a FedEx pickup at our home, which I appreciated since that box is quite heavy! The refund came through once they checked the package. Aside from that little hiccup, I’d recommend both the desk and Hawkins Woodshop.

I’ve been eyeing this adjustable desk for about a year, and I finally went for it in the walnut finish with slate legs. I also got the larger 60-inch version to have one set at sitting height and the other high for standing. It shipped quickly and came without any damage or missing pieces. Assembly was straightforward, though I had my son help me flip it over to keep everything safe. The walnut is a bit more muted than it looks online, which I actually prefer. The top is thick and sturdy, and the legs feel really stable. The electric height adjustment works great, and the included cable management straps and headphone clips are handy. I also picked up the Vari wheels separately so I can easily move it around my room.

I’m reviewing the desk and Hawkins Woodshop's service. The desk got to me pretty fast and looks really nice. It’s heavy and sturdy, and putting it together was straightforward. Adjusting the height is smooth, and it doesn’t shake anything on top. My only complaint is that my husband wasn’t a fan of the tapered ends since he likes to type with his arms level. So, we decided to return it, but Hawkins Woodshop made that easy. They even offered a FedEx pickup from our home, which was great since the boxes are pretty heavy. The refund came after they checked the desk. Even with this minor issue, I’d still recommend the desk and the shop!
