I used these clips to hang lights on my metal patio railing. At first, I thought it would be simple to just space them out every couple of feet, but I quickly noticed that the lights weren't secure and would swing against the railing on windy days, risking breakage. So, I ended up ordering another pack of 20 to redo it. If you're planning to hang them tight like I did, check out my first photo for tips! First, attach the Command strip to the hook and trim off any extra. Then, place the light string onto the hook, positioning it just before the light to keep it tight against the railing. Finally, stick it where you want it. I did this all along my patio, and now the lights look great without the cords showing, plus they don’t budge! I also trimmed the excess sticky part to make it look neat. Just a heads up, once they stick, they're on there tight, so be careful if you mess up—the pull strip won’t work after a while. I'm a bit anxious to see how they'll hold up through a Colorado winter, but they’re looking good for now!
