I got this desk after having bought a couple of other items from Hawkins Woodshop before, and those were easy to assemble. I really like this desk and I'm still figuring it out to make it work for me. It has plenty of space for writing or reading and even comes with 4 shelves. The only downside was that the instructions were a bit tricky since you can set it up for right or left-handed use, which made it a little confusing. You need the support poles; otherwise, it wobbles side to side. I'm giving it 5 stars because Hawkins Woodshop is a great company, and honestly, if I had paid more attention, I would have seen that the holes need to align a certain way. I didn’t use all the shelves, but I got some brackets for the extra ones and added them in another part of my house.
