The drawer bank installs on either the left or the right side. That sounds like a small detail until you are standing in a room where the only outlet is on one wall and the window is on the other. Build it to face the way your room actually works. The middle shelf is just as flexible. It sits on two levels of pre-drilled holes, so you can raise it for a tower, drop it for printer paper and books, or leave it out entirely and keep the open legroom.
Underneath, the construction is P2 grade particleboard at 12mm thick over a metal frame, with a support strut running across the back to keep the desk from racking side to side during a long session. Adjustable feet level it on uneven floors and protect the flooring from scratches. The rustic brown finish is warm rather than glossy, and the fabric drawer fronts break up what would otherwise be a solid wall of panel.
Assembly runs about 45 minutes. Parts are numbered and the tools you need come in the box, so it is a one-person job as long as you have floor space to lay everything out. The corner shape suits the angle of a room, which is usually the most wasted square footage in a bedroom or a study.
Worth saying that it does not have to be a computer desk. The same surface and drawer storage make it a workable vanity, a craft table, or a general storage desk in a living room. If you are furnishing a room that has to do two jobs, this one bends to fit.
