Love this desk - everything I wanted!
So much room! I’m 5’5” and I have to stand a bit to reach the front, and I love it! I’ve been stuck at a desk roughly half this size for far too long. Really great to spread your work out on, and tons of storage. Even though it has so much space, it doesn’t feel too big though, doesn’t overpower my small-ish guest bedroom. The color is a lovely neutral - slightly cooler tones of gray instead of brown with distress marks made in - I keep thinking I found chips! It’s a natural wood feel, not slick like many particle board desks. So I worry a bit about marring the surface, but I have ordered a blotter filled with blank paper to doodle on, as well as protect the desk. I made a mistake that involved glue. I contacted Sauder and they sent me new replacements and just charged shipping. They really stand behind their products. The company has been around for quite a while, and the wood feels substantial, not like particle board usually does. We worked on this over the corse of several nights, so I’m not sure how long it took. The instructions are very clear and methodical, and even add a little humor in them. This is definitely a 2 person job - the book clearly states so halfway through, but my stepdad, who is used to solo projects, thought some of the steps would be tricky with just one set of hands. Overall I am very pleased with my desk and would highly recommend it to anyone!

Just what I was looking for
I love my new desk! My husband and I put it together over 2 evenings - there's a lot to it, but the instructions are detailed; just time consuming. All parts are labelled (some with stickers, some etched into the piece itself). Sturdy. The top of my desk came damaged, but a quick call to the # given in the manual, and I had a new one on the way. Very easy! The drawers are a bit stiff to pull out and push in; would like to be a bit easier, but at least they don't fly open or closed. All in all, really like the quality, color, and set up.

Good quality/price for a manufactured desk
Spent a lot of time trying to figure out which double pedestal desk I wanted and obviously settled on this one from Sauder because of the color and price. It was packaged very neatly and nothing was damaged which was great. It comes in two boxes but the instructions were very clear and concise. It took me about 3-4 hours to put it together and at some steps it took my wife to help with turning it over as the desk altogether is about 180lbs. I wanted something with a dark wood grain color and it's hard to find considering nearly every desk is cherry or black... But this specific color called Coffee Oak is trademarked by Sauder, which you can see on their website. The unique color and design reminded of me old German wood housing and furniture so I loved it right away. The texture is not shiny but is dull which was also a must for me, which I'm not sure if you can tell that by the picture or not. My last desk was an L shaped black desk that showed every greasy fingerprint and I didn't want to deal with that again. In the process of putting it together it got a couple scuffs, buuuuut this is manufactured wood... So it is to be expected that it scuffs up easier than real wood. But I think I could get a dark find pointed sharpie and color it in and you wouldn't know the difference because the grain in the design is black. Anyway, for the price this serves my needs and I'm really happy with it. Edit (1/19/2020): I came back to add that after using this even more that it's much hardier than I previous gave it credit for. I've run my chair into it several times and slid the keyboard and other things across the surface and it still looks great! Honestly I like this more than when I first bought it.

I love this desk! It came very packed well. Like other reviews, it took me a while to assemble (almost 4 hrs), and probably would have gone a little faster if I'd had someone help me but my husband was out of town when it arrived. The drawers were a bit hard to get to slide in correctly. They have adjustments and that took me the longest. Also, I decided against using the lower cabinet file inserts on one side. Fine to leave out if you want to. It's a beautiful, sturdy (and quite heavy) desk. Easily fits my two monitors, keyboard and writing materials with room on either side. I would definitely recommend.

Great desk, high quality for the price!
Have had this desk for about a month and am very happy with it! It is shipped in 2 separate boxes that are pretty heavy so make sure you have someone to help you lift it. Instructions were very clear - easy to put together but there were so many pieces! Takes several hours to assemble but looks great once done. High quality for an "assemble yourself" piece. Love that it has so many drawers, just wish they had dividers like my old desk to organize pens/whatnot in. Only thing I don't like is that it isn't "protected" on the top so there are already some nicks that are pretty noticeable with the light color under the finish showing through. These are from very light use. I will probably touch these up with some dark stain and then put a coat of matte polyurethane on top to prevent more little nicks in the long run. Overall happy with this purchase.
