Great desk for small spaces
This desk is just what I needed for my tiny office (11x12). It's much sturdier than I thought it would be, and there's plenty of space for two large monitors and my laptop, plus some room to write. It looks nice from every side, and I have enough room for my legs and chair—so I don’t feel cramped at all. As for putting it together, I'm over 60 and had no issues. It took me around 5 hours with no power tools, but I took my time. Just make sure to follow the drawings closely to get the pieces oriented right. Some people might not like the cam bolts, but I find them strong and straightforward to use. One suggestion: the desk comes with little plastic covers for the bolts and screws, but they only seem to work if you’re super patient and use glue. It would be better if they included a small bottle of paint (like nail polish) to touch up the bolts and screws instead. You could easily repaint if you need to take it apart, and you wouldn’t lose those plastic pieces to my dogs when they fall off! I also wish it had a pencil drawer on one or both edges; that would make it. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase, and I’d recommend this desk.

Great desk, just a small flaw
I recently put together the Sauder Cottage Road L Shaped Desk, and it was the biggest Sauder item I've assembled so far. Surprisingly, it was pretty easy to assemble! The instructions were clear, and everything went together smoothly. It did take a little extra care to get the long top lined up, but that's par for the course with a piece this big. It arrived well packed, with all the pieces secure. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the front edge of the longer top piece had a chip. I ended up getting a wood repair kit to fix it, since it didn't look great. Still, I'm really happy with the desk's size and the storage it offers. In fact, I liked it enough that I bought the matching single pedestal desk for my son so we can have matching setups in the home office, along with a 1-drawer lateral file cabinet to replace my old printer stand.
