Putting it together was definitely a challenge. It took me several hours and I even had a little mishap. The plastic hammer included didn’t help much; it's pretty much just a toy hammer since it has no weight to it. I had to rely on my own strength, which wasn't the best plan! On the bright side, this shelf is sturdy and looks great. I’m glad I powered through because it was worth it in the end. All the parts were included, and it holds a ton of my yarn, which is a lot since I have a big stash. It’s large but lightweight enough that I could easily lift it onto my dresser. You could use it for different things, though I wouldn’t stack it too heavy, as the shelves might sag a bit. I knew it would be challenging from what others mentioned in their reviews. It's not complicated to assemble, just a bit tough when you’re small like me. XD
