The fabric blends 70 percent ramie linen with 30 percent cotton, and that ratio is where the texture comes from. Linen brings the slightly irregular, breathable hand. Cotton keeps it soft rather than stiff. Seams are sewn tight, and every raw edge is finished so the corners will not fray after a few washes.

A flange edge runs around all four sides. It is a small thing that reads as intentional, giving each pillow a defined border instead of a plain sewn seam. The color is natural beige, quiet enough to work against white walls, a wood headboard, gray upholstery, or a patterned quilt without competing with any of them. One honest caveat: beige is the color most affected by room lighting and screen calibration, so expect the shade in your bedroom to sit slightly off from the shade on your monitor.

The zipper is hidden along the back, which keeps the front face clean and turns swapping inserts into a two minute job. Inserts are not included, so order those separately at 24 by 24.
