I don't usually buy desks, but this VARIDESK Pro Plus 36 in black is awesome! I've got a 24" monitor, a heavy laptop, a speaker, and my gaming keyboard on it, and it lifts like a champ. There’s loads of space, so I can easily fit my laptop too. Pros: 1) It’s got lots of height settings, which is great since I'm 5'9". Just a heads up, if you're over 6'1", you might want to check it out first. 2) It raises and lowers easily. Even with 20 lbs on it, that’s no issue. 3) for stretching after meals because adjusting it takes just a second. 4) The keyboard area is big enough for my mouse and pad, which I love. 5) At $400, it's a steal! I saw similar desks for way more that aren't even as sturdy. 6) No assembly needed! Just unpack and you're good to go. Cons: 1) It’s not electric, just so you know. 2) It’s pretty large, takes up my whole table (5' x 3'). 3) It's heavy—about 50 pounds. I recommend two people for setup. Honestly, I can’t complain much. For the price, this is the best convertible desk out there. The build quality is solid, and it’s easy to use.

The second issue is about height; I'm 5'7" and at the highest setting, it’s just about right for me, but I think someone who’s 6 feet tall might find the monitor a bit low, even though the keyboard height is fine. If I wanted, I could always raise the monitor on a stand, but I'd still need to secure it to keep it steady. Since I'm not too tall, I'm perfectly happy with the setup as is. Unpacking and putting it in place was simple since it comes fully assembled. It feels solid enough that I don’t worry about it tipping over. I even tried leaning on the keyboard tray to check its stability, and it held up perfectly.
