Most dog crates look like dog crates. This one reads as a long, low console in rustic brown, and the wood top is broad enough to carry a lamp, a stack of books, a television, or a couple of plants. The crate underneath measures 40 inches long, 27.5 inches wide, and 33 inches high, which gives a Golden Retriever or a Labrador room to lie flat on their side and turn around without folding themselves up.
Three doors is the detail that matters if you have two dogs. One opens at the front and one on each side, so each dog gets an entrance and neither has to climb over the other on the way out. Every door carries a steel latch. The frame is built from half inch thick steel tubes and panels with an added support bar running beneath the floor, and the finished piece weighs 64 pounds. That heft is the point. A crate that shifts when a big dog leans on it is a crate a big dog learns to move.
Four legs lift the whole thing 3.9 inches off the floor. Air moves underneath, dust and hair do not pack into a dead space, and a robot vacuum runs straight through without anyone dragging furniture across the room first. Anyone who has cleaned around a floor level crate knows exactly what that clearance is worth.
This is an indoor crate, model TB05-FDC4001. Set it along a living room wall, at the end of a sofa, or in a bedroom where the dog already sleeps, and it stops being a piece of pet equipment parked in the corner and starts being furniture. One thing to do before ordering. Measure your dog standing and lying down, then compare those numbers to the interior dimensions above, because close to the right size is not the right size.
