I took a couple of weeks to really test this out and I can honestly say the thickness is just right. We got the gray one and it's. I love that it’s more stain resistant and won’t yellow or fade after washing. This is the most comfortable sleep we've had in ages! My husband actually managed to sleep for 11 hours last night! He used to be up and out of bed right away because of his back pain, but now that’s a thing of the past. I’ve noticed my shoulders and hips feel great in the morning too! We have a king-size bed and the previous topper we used was flat and didn’t support us at all. We decided to go with this one and it’s like sleeping on a cloud! 5 inches of pure fluffy bliss!
The price is worth it for a back pain free sleep! The double layer of foam and pad makes it so fluffy and definitely 5 inches! It came out of the box and already gained height. My back pain was gone after the first night. My mattress is very firm and now that I work on my feet all day it was hurting to sleep so stiff. Now with this topper I can even sleep on my side with no hip or shoulder pain. It’s like sleeping on a cloud. I’ll admit I slept on it right away but it still fluffed up nicely! I laid the foam down then the fitted topper over and put on my personal fitted sheet over and it fit perfectly! Definitely feels like high quality and the foam piece is nice and thick!
