Easy setup
This frame was perfect for my apartment. The only issue was one of the bolts included with the hardware did not have any threads. Just quick trip to the hardware store for a replacement.

Solid frame with useful storage
I set this up for a queen mattress, and it was pretty straightforward to put together without needing a box spring. The frame feels sturdy once tightened down, and I like the extra space underneath for bins or seasonal stuff. The headboard and footboard make it look more finished than a plain metal frame, and so far it stays quiet without the annoying squeaks.

Get's the job done - basic sturdy metal bed frame
This is not fine furniture, but we got it for my child's first apartment and so far it seems like a good basic bed that is nearly all metal. We put together the headboard and it is sturdy. We are still looking for a full size mattress so we didn't set the rest up yet, but the metal frame seems like a pretty standard bed base (very much like one we have on another bed). The gaps between the slats is about 5" - it claims that you do not need a bedframe (and it is certainly too high to reasonably add one) but I would definitely check with your specific mattress as we found with our other mattress/frame that we needed to add some extra support to keep it from feeling lumpy on the slats. If I could change one thing it would be the black boards at the head and base of the bed. The finish shows every single finger print (we took a picture). Luckily it is easy to pop out (it's screwed in from the back), so if we decide to do so we can easily cut a board to size and replace it with a real piece of wood or paint it with a different finish. The other thing that definitely keeps it in the budget furniture category for me is that the screws don't have recessed holes or anything. The assembly is pretty straightforward with most of the parts and hardware all labeled. The instructions have actual steps and not just one confusing diagram. All that being said, while it may not be fancy, it feels very practical. It's sturdy. It's high enough that full sized storage tubs can fit underneath. And it does not weigh a ton so it will be easy to move in and out of apartments (as is the life of a young person). For us, it's a great fit for our needs and the price at $120 (currently on sale) seems reasonable for what you get.
