Two covers, no inserts. That is the first thing to know, because it decides whether this is the right buy for you. If you already own a pair of 18 inch pillows that have gone flat-looking or dated, this is the inexpensive way to change the mood of a room. If you are starting from nothing, budget for the inserts too.
The fabric is a soft velvet, dense enough to catch light differently depending on where you sit, and that is what gives burnt orange its depth instead of letting it read as flat pumpkin. The shade is warm and slightly muted, the kind that sits well against wood tones and cream upholstery rather than fighting them. Screens render orange badly, so expect some variation between what you see on a monitor and what comes out of the package.
Each cover is 18 by 18 inches, 45 by 45 centimeters, square, in a solid modern pattern, and the pair weighs 9.1 ounces. The closure is an invisible zipper sewn into the seam. That matters more than it sounds. A visible zipper is the tell that separates a cheap cover from one that looks intentional, and a good one also makes stuffing an insert in and out a two minute job rather than a fight.
Care is straightforward. Machine wash separately in cold water on a gentle cycle, tumble dry low, no bleach and no ironing. Velvet takes a crease if you press it, so skip the iron entirely and let the dryer do the work. GriNeed makes these in sixteen colors, from sage green and navy blue through mustard yellow, khaki, and burgundy, and in seven sizes running from 12 by 20 inches up to 26 by 26, so matching a set across a sectional is possible.
Autumn is the obvious season for this shade, though the covers are rated for all seasons and plenty of rooms carry them straight through spring and winter. They land anywhere a cushion goes: a couch, a chair, a bed, a home office, a porch chair, or the back seat of a car.
