The desk is very nice looking. It is a nice size & seems sturdy. I agree with the others about the directions. There is no way 1 person can put this together in an hour, unless they do it for a living. Other than that, I am very happy with it.

Easy to put together, just time consuming
This desk was packaged very well to prevent damage during shipping. It was very heavy though, I needed help getting it into my house. Once I got it into my kitchen area it was easier to slide the box around. It was easy to unpack as the individual pieces weren’t too heavy. There were 32 numbered pieces and all the hardware plus alan-wrench was included to assemble but no screw driver. I used an electric screw driver which helped speed up assembly and probably saved my hands from blisters. Once I removed everything from the box and accounted for all the pieces, it took me a little over 5 hours to assemble by myself. The instructions were straightforward and easy to read and follow. This desk is huge and sturdy and beautiful. I bought it for my home office to fit into my breakfast nook. I measured my space and purchased this desk specifically for its square L-shaped design. I love the amount of storage space it has, it fits quite a bit in the drawers and cabinets. The cabinets don’t slide as smoothly for my preference but I think for the price that I paid it’s very negligible. One thing I did notice is the hardware had 2 packages of screws labeled “E” that were nearly identical. The shorter ones are used to attach the handles to the drawers. The built-in power strip is great because it prevents having to crawl under your desk when you want to quickly plug something in. However it did include a disclaimer that it cannot exceed 1500 watts. I’m not sure what that means so I’ll only plug in smaller appliances like my echo, lamp, and phone charger. I purchased a separate surge protector which is plugged into the wall (not the desk outlet) for my computers, monitor, and printer since I don’t think the built in plug is a surge protector. The height of this desk is taller than I expected so I will need to purchase a separate under-desk keyboard tray. I’m only 4’9” and I don’t want to raise my chair to use my keyboard, plus I think installing it under the desk will keep clutter off the desktop. I love the way this desk looks, makes me happy to see my workspace so pretty and organized now.
