Use a drill for all the screws and it helps a lot!
Putting it together was a little tricky as one page of the directions was wrong. But it's strong and sturdy and feels well built even if it's not solid wood. I purchased this to organize all my workout clothes and it's perfect. It blends in perfectly with my bedroom set and I love it. Very happy with my purchase.

Perfect size and easy to put together
This is the 4th item I've bought from this Hawkins Woodshop and I love how detailed they are with the instructions. I put this together myself in about 2.5 hours. Every piece is labeled and the guide book is so detailed it is nearly impossible to make a mistake. It does come with a small Phillips screwdriver but the instructions recommend an electric one and I highly agree. All the pink tools are mine in the pic and I did use several different bits depending on the screw. I also recommend a box cutter or scissors to get into the box and to open all the separate bags of screws and stuff. I have his dresser, the long dresser that matches and 2 night stands and although they are quire inexpensive, you would never know it by looking at it because the quality is really good.

Both night stands and dresser took a long time to build. Does not come with tools besides allen wrenches. Other then that they look great and I’ve gotten quite a few compliments on them!
