Stay strong
This is the desk that almost broke me. My Moby Dick if you will. It showed up in 50 pieces with hundreds of screws and almost 70 steps in the manual. It’s simultaneously too big and too small at the same time: the back piece is massive and the desk is a nice length but the desk is very shallow. If you have a laptop on a stand you just have enough space edge to edge for a keyboard based on how big it is. That being said, you’ll feel less crammed if you have sleek monitors at the back of the desk but for anyone that is used to being further from the screen it is a bit of an adjustmentThe quality is also contradictory. It’s sturdy in some areas and yet I’m convinced it could not survive a move without snapping in some key place and I would never put all my weight to lean on it. The appearance itself is as pictured. Very pretty desk. I do miss real furniture and wood. It’s the usual ikea quality faux wood for hundredsIf you are patient and can follow directions the assembly is straightforward. I put it together myself over the course of 6 hours while taking breaks. While it can be done I definitely recommend having someone help at minimum with lifting the top piece and setting it in place as that was by far the most difficult and dangerous. The rest can absolutely be done by one person. Also note you can shave a lot off that time by using an electric drill (I did not have one). Only other thing I wanted to mention is to be very mindful when screwing in pieces to the “wood” if your screwdriver or drill slips while putting it in the material will crack

Sturdy, nice desk
Very nice, sturdy desk. Assembly is challenging, we opened the box... Saw all the doodads and hired a handyman to put it together... It took the professional and his helper just over an hour to assemble.
