No, I'm serious! The directions were ok enough, but what I was impressed with is the pre drilled holes being exactly where they should be, all hardware was there and it made it a breeze to assemble. I love the color, the texture of the desk feels like real wood and I love the imitation circular saw marks in it. Looks like it has really been through a saw mill! I work with real wood alot and this is an impressive piece, looks very nice and not cheap when put together. I bought the gray color. Moved into a smaller place, downsizing and measured and the desk fit perfect where I needed it to. I loved it so much I also ordered the matching bookshelf and put it together. Now I wont lie, it did take some time to put together. I laid out all the pieces in numerical order up against my living room wall. Cleared the house so I could concentrate, it was nice! The desk went together smoothly. I had one hiccup, the big bottom file drawer wouldn't shut all the way. But that was my fault I guess. The directions didn't really specify where the drawer tracks needed to be. I fixed it though, took the drawer back out and moved the tracks back about half an inch and the drawer closes perfectly now! Believe me, I have looked online at hundreds of desks. I do my research to find the perfect item I need/want at the time. The price I was very pleased to pay, $149. Everything I looked at was a gamer desk that looked like it belonged in a Barbie Townhouse for more money or a huge traditional bulky desk for hundreds. I will come back and attach photos from my phone.

This is a nice desk, I put it together myself. I did break the decorative piece of wood on one of the drawers; just don’t be hard on equipment like I am when putting together. Now that I’m using it, it’s great. Fits in my spot perfectly. Good value, looks really good. I changed the knobs to match my other furniture
