I've only had this desk for a day, so I can't speak to its long-term durability yet, but it's definitely sturdy. The assembly instructions are detailed, and you'll need a second person to help out. Following the step-by-step directions makes it pretty straightforward. My husband, who is quite picky about furniture, was impressed with the quality and the thoughtful reinforcements they included. For those, I’d suggest using the side table instead since that doesn't move.
