I'll be honest, I was nervous ordering this since it didn't have a ton of reviews yet and people had mixed things to say. Setup took about 3 hours, but it's not hard—just a lot of pieces to sort through and keep track of. The quality is sturdy and really nice looking. Some folks complained the back wasn't secure, but if you install it right and mount it to the wall like the instructions say, it's solid. I think the problem only happens if you don't put it on a wall. The color is gorgeous. The pictures online don't do it justice at all. Happy with this purchase. Just plan on spending a good chunk of time putting it together—my husband's a carpenter and said the 3 hour estimate is spot on.

My husband put it together in about 2 hours and said assembly was straightforward. It showed up sooner than I expected which was nice. Looks good and feels sturdy. We'll need to add brackets eventually to anchor it down. For the price, this piece does the job well. The 3 hooks that came with it weren't quite enough for our family so I added some adhesive hooks. Overall really happy with how it turned out and how it looks in the space.

Love, love, love! I have had this for almost a year and it has been a game changer! Easy to put together if you have half a brain, color matches the description. Stability is pretty good, the hangers aren’t strong enough to hold multiple back packs with weight. We use this primarily for coats and one school backpacks. You can adjust the bottom shelves for 4 small sections for shoes to two compartments for boots, etc. If you pair the top cubbies with baskets you get even more storage!

Good Mudroom Hutch!
Overall, a good mudroom hutch. I had been looking for a few months and I found this one which was a good price, and had overall good reviews. When we received the box, it was in pretty good condition, and no pieces were damaged. The instructions were overall clear and it took my fiancé around three hours to assemble, a few pieces being frustrating, but would be easier with two people. Once it was put together, we noticed a few small nicks/cheap parts in the pieces, but they were minor. Overall it seems pretty sturdy and fit the space we were looking perfectly! I would purchase this item again, and I would recommend purchasing it as it is a good price for the product!

For the price, this hall tree will be okay for a few years. We bought it for a new house as a cost effective option until we install a sturdier, built-in system. The instructions were thorough, and accurate diagrams resolved any questions we had. We were careful in assembly. I do not recommend forcing anything. It will all fit if you take your time and follow the directions carefully. Sliding the backing sheets into their slots was key. It took my husband and I several hours to assemble. We’re both fairly mechanically inclined. This unit is probably not sturdy enough for busy little children. Our four sons would have climbed and collapsed it, but calmer kids might not take that challenge. It comes with two L-brackets as an anti-tipping device, but it’s not sturdy enough for kids who are climbers. It is probably enough for ordinary use. To assemble, the pieces are marked with stickers. Unfortunately, the glue on some of the stickers marred the very thin veneer/paint. (I can touch up with bright white acrylic paint.)The depth of the upper cubbies is very narrow. I have no idea what will fit in them. They are not deep enough for hats or baskets or backpacks that could make them functional. Maybe something small and decorative would work. For the price, I would recommend this as a good option for a few years. It is not made with long-term, built-in quality.
