Three shelves, each 15 inches wide, cut from MDF and finished in matte white. Fifteen inches turns out to be the useful number. It is wide enough for a pair of small frames side by side, or one larger frame with room to breathe around it, and narrow enough to fit the awkward wall space most rooms have going spare: beside a doorway, above a toilet tank, in the gap between a window and a corner.
Each shelf holds up to 22 pounds, which is more than the job usually asks. Photo frames, a short stack of paperbacks, a small plant, a candle, a row of ceramics, none of that comes near the limit, so you can load one without doing arithmetic first. Along the front runs a raised edge, 0.8 inches tall, and it earns its keep every day. Books stay put when you slide one out. Frames stop creeping forward every time a door slams.
The set is meant to be arranged, not merely hung. Stagger the three in a rising line up a stairwell, stack them in a tight column beside a desk, or space them evenly above a sofa for a symmetrical run. Because each shelf is independent, you are not locked into one layout, and one can move to another room later without breaking up the group.
Screws and instructions come in the box, along with screw hole covers that sit over the mounting hardware once the shelf is up. That last detail is the whole difference between a shelf that looks like it is floating and one with two screw heads announcing exactly how it works. The matte white stays quiet against a painted wall, which is the point. The shelf recedes and the things on it come forward.
