Stylish bookshelf with great service
I'm really happy with this bookshelf! It’s such a striking piece on the wall, and every time I have friends over, they comment on how nice it looks. The design is minimal and clean, plus it was easy to install and feels sturdy with the wall anchors. It seems pricier than it actually was. My only issue is with the screw holes, which I wish came with some kind of cover. I’m thinking about using some black stickers to hide them a bit. On top of that, I want to highlight the customer service I had. The bookshelf arrived with a small issue—a bent bracket and a bit of wood stain on one shelf. I contacted Colby directly, and they were incredibly helpful, offering me either store credit or a free replacement. I got the new shelf in just under two weeks, and Colby even followed up to see if it arrived okay. A few weeks later, I was surprised to find a box of Godiva chocolates as a lovely apology gift! This is actually my first time writing a review, but I felt it was necessary to share my positive experience. They truly value their customers and go the extra mile. I’ll keep shopping at Hawkins Woodshop. I already have the nesting coffee table set, which was beautifully packaged and looks great without breaking the bank. I love this company!

I picked up two of these in natural brown and I’m really happy with them. I looked around for wall shelves for ages before finding these. They’re made of solid wood and look. When you place them side by side, they give the appearance of a sleek, upscale shelving unit. They weren’t too tricky to install, but I’d recommend having a friend help since they are pretty heavy and you’ll want to get them aligned perfectly, especially if you’re putting two together.

This was easy to put together and feels solid! The wood is nice and heavy. I did give it 4 stars because the mounting holes are keyholes instead of solid circles like they were on the desk model, which made it tough to get everything lined up perfectly. It definitely took two of us to install it since that alignment was tricky. But after that, it's a space saver for tight areas. It doesn’t look or feel cheap at all, and I like the modern minimalist design.
