I need a desk at which to work once in awhile, so this item fit the bill. As I don't have the space for a permanent desk, this small desk sets up quickly and folds up easily when it is not needed. The desk top is heavy and appears to be made of wood composite and the metal frame is sturdy. The desk folds to approximately a depth of 3 1/8 inches, a width of 15 3/4 inches and a length of 31 1/2 inches. Please note that when folding the desk for storage, the frame's hinges at one end are shorter than at the other end which allows for the desk to fold flat. The desk looks nice, is a good value and is functional for my needs. Happy with the purchase.
