I know it might sound a bit odd, but I got this mat for my small dog so she can stand on the back seat and reach the center armrest without slipping. I gave it a try just for fun, and honestly, it works great! It's heavy enough to stay in place. I’m not sure how well it will hold up outside, as it could get blown around by a leaf blower. Most outdoor mats don't last too long anyway since they tend to get moldy underneath and need replacing. That said, this is a nice mat, a solid price, and it really helped with my dog when she's riding with me.

Sounds silly to some I suppose, but bought this so the little dog I have can stand on the back seat and stretch herself up to the center armrest on the front seats, without slipping. I tried it just for yucks to see if it would help, and it has helped so much. It's heavy enough to stay put. I don't know how long this will last out front of your house, it is a nice mat, but a leaf blower will blow it around. The thing with outdoor mats is that they don't last real long anyway, they get moldy underneath and need to be replaced. So that all said, it's a nice mat, a great price, and solved a problem for my little dog when riding in the car as she does with me often.
