Great mounting system that's sturdy and reliable!

I just got this mount and I’m really happy with it. I picked this one because it gives me the option to bolt it through my desk, which is great since my table doesn’t have a lip for the clamp. I followed the directions and drilled a 3/8" hole for the bolt, and while it was a bit tight, I managed to tighten it up with a socket wrench without any issues. The mount is stable and doesn’t wiggle at all. Setting up my monitor and laptop was straightforward, and everything feels secure. Plus, there’s extra space on the pole for my clamp light, which is a nice bonus. Update: After almost two years of use, it’s still going strong. I wanted to add a second monitor, so I reached out to Hawkins Woodshop, and Colby helped me find the right arm in no time. Their customer service is —helpful and friendly!

Happy with the stand!

I got the stand yesterday and set it up right away. It took me about half an hour to assemble, mostly because I didn't move my desk from the wall. Then I spent another 30 minutes fine-tuning it and tackling the cable management, but that was just because of my setup. Overall, I'm really pleased with the stand. It helped me clear up desk space without breaking the bank. PROS: - Affordable (cost doesn't affect quality) - Simple to put together - sturdy - Great adjustability - Everything you need is included (except a screwdriver, but you probably have one) CONS: - Adjusting the height can be tricky once the monitor is on (just a minor issue) I was a bit doubtful about how solid this stand would be, but I was wrong! It's well-made and nicely finished. I didn’t see any sharp edges or unpainted spots. You can adjust the fluidity of the parts with the Allen wrench that comes with it. Just so you know, the arms can’t be height-adjusted on the go; you need to loosen a bolt to do that. But I was aware of this beforehand, so it didn’t affect my rating. I’ve uploaded some pics to show the before and after. I regained a lot of space and decluttered my desk! Love it!!!

Solid piece of equipment, going to get more!

Honestly, the folks complaining about this product must not have any experience with tools! I mounted this on my NavePoint server rack for my surveillance server, and I couldn't be happier with how stable it is. The all-metal mount point gives a tight fit, but if you have a flimsy desk, you might want to look at other options. That said, it does come with a bracket if you want to drill holes or bolt it down. As long as your desk is sturdy, you can secure this thing really well—just make sure you tighten everything down. The laptop arm can be a bit awkward since you may have to adjust it depending on how you set it up, but it's flexible. I've got a Thinkpad T60 zip-tied to it, and there are plenty of holes for securing it. Just a heads-up: the wings on the laptop pad should face down, not up, if you want to fit wider laptops. I keep the nut for the tilt axis tight enough for stability but not so much that I can't adjust it when needed. The only edge that has a raised lip is the front, so your laptop can hang over the other sides without issues. If you're using an oversized laptop, be ready to get creative with some heavy-duty zip ties! My zip ties are holding strong even with my kitten jumping on the Thinkpad. Overall, this mount is doing its job well, and it's a better deal than the competition. A solid product that both me and my furry friend approve of!

Fantastic item!

This lift is just what I needed for my small desk. It raises my laptop, giving me enough space to write in a notebook underneath it. Plus, it makes the screen eye level, which is great. The quality is impressive; everything fits perfectly and is nicely finished. There are lots of adjustment options too. I chose the one with two arms because I have another flat monitor, and I can attach it when needed. For now, I’m only using one arm and have stored the other one away.

Sturdy and secure, perfect for any monitor size

I’m really happy with this product! I’ve picked up a few to set up on my desks. The pole is solid and the C-clamp design works well for both thin and thick surfaces, which is great. I use the tray for my laptop and things like an audio mixer and external sound cards. The quality is impressive, and the way it handles cable management keeps everything neat. I also like that I can mix and match accessories and arms from other VIVO kits. The clamps are easy to adjust with standard allen keys, and they even come with a clip mount to keep the tools organized on the pole. This specific kit is in white, while there are black options from VIVO, but you can switch out the arms and tray no problem.

Great mount! Buy it!

I had my eye on this mount for a while and finally decided to get it, and I'm happy I did! I'm using it with my 24” Benq Zowie RL2455S monitor and my HP Beats edition 15” laptop. Both of them are pretty big and heavy compared to newer models, but this mount handles them just fine. Setting it up was straightforward, though I did mix up the arms for the laptop and monitor. Just a heads up—the short arm is for the monitor and the long one's for the laptop. Some folks said it didn’t feel sturdy, but I think it’s solid. It’s just as sturdy as any TV wall mount I’ve used. If it were any sturdier, it would have to be a fixed mount, which would take away the adjustability. At first, I was worried about the laptop tray, but it's been working well. It tilts enough for my laptop to sit on it safely. I added a bit of Velcro around it just in case, but honestly, it’s not necessary. If you want extra security, you could add some clamps, but I trust it as is. I definitely recommend this setup and brand.

Stout piece of kit, this thing! Sturdy. Going to buy more of this brand!

The people complaining about this thing in the reviews have clearly never worked a wrench!!! It’s awesome for real. I mounted this on my NavePoint server rack, which holds my surveillance server. I’m super pleased with the stability of the mount, but my sturdy, all-metal mount point allowed for an extremely tight fit. If you have a plastic, glass, or flimsy wooden desk, consider other alternatives than the clamping style of mount -although- keep in mind that this mount has a bracket attachment as well if you prefer to drills some holes or bolt it to existing holes. Basically if your desk is sturdy, you can mount this thing quite securely, but it just depends on how tight you crank down the hardware. The less stable the desk or mount point, and the weaker your wrench hand, the crappier this thing will be. You really need to crank down the nuts and bolts, but when you do - man is it rock solid! The laptop arm is a little wonky because you may have to tilt it weirdly depending on the angle of the two arm segments and the rotation angle of the laptop pad itself, but it’s infinitely reconfigurable, so there’s always an arrangement that works. I have a Thinkpad T60 zip-tied to the laptop platform. If your laptop fits the dimensions, there should be plenty of holes to zip-tie it down. Also, bigger laptops can still fit! The “wings” on either side of the laptop pad are meant to aim down, not up! If you arrange the wings facing up, you can’t fit a wider laptop, well not to mention the bolt heads wouldn’t be flush. But the wings orient down out of the way of the width of the laptop, but unfortunately not out of the way of extensible folding arm, meaning you may have to tilt the laptop platform one way or the other to move it the way you want. So I keep the nut on the vertical tilt axis tight but loose enough to reorient the laptop platform as needed. The only raised lip on top of the laptop platform is at the very front. Your laptop can hang over all the other three edges. How you’ll mount an oversized laptop is up to you, but I imagine it will involve a creative configuration of some heavy duty zip ties. Don’t skimp on the zip ties! I’m scared the crappy zip ties I got in a bulk pack on here are too weak to withstand my damn kitten jumping on the Thinkpad all the time, but they’ve held on so far and the mount has done it’s job! I can easily fold the laptop vertical, and then tuck it and the monitor against the wall out of the way. Better and cheaper than the competition. Legit product. Kitten and scrupulous owner approved!

Wow - top notch product in all respects!

I'm a member and I rarely take the time to offer feedback to sellers, but not this time. I am too impressed. I did about 3 days of research before buying a rocelco dadr and this Dual mount for my large Dell flat screen and Apple MacBook laptop. Wow. Sturdy and nicer quality then I expected. The packaging was A plus. The installation took me about 45 min (I am a slow man)... But the instructions were very easy to follow and I was up and running with my new desk set-up in no time! I have a couch on the other side of my desk, so I like the fact that the monitor fully swivels so I can do presentations or watch movies on my down time. I operate a home-office, so I needed this stand to hit it out of the park... And it does! I love the holder for the wrenches on the bar and the cable guides - - makes everything work cleanly. If I were to nit-pick on this stand at all, I wish the arm for the flat screen were about 1 inch longer, but for all I know that my impact a weight distribution issue in the design. A note on installing the stand: If you use the grommet base option like I did, you may wish to run your monitor wires through the base plate (item M) before you secure the plate to the desk with the large screw! The instruction manual doesn't tell you to do this (!!) during step1 of the install, but the cables run through those baseplate spots nicely. If you forget to do this, then add 10-15 minutes to your assembly time to take off the base plate, run wires, and re-install baseplate :).. Of course, you can also avoid running the wires through this plate and just use the wire guides that are provided on the beams. I have attached the photo of the area I am referring to.
