This crate is nice, but I'm shocked the floor is wood and not plastic. Ours was damaged on the top corner which is a bummer since it's supposed to be "furniture."

Good wooden crate for the living room
I ordered this thirty inch walnut pet crate to give our Goldendoodle Leo a spot to hang out in the living room while we are away from the house during the day. The wooden boards have a fairly smooth finish with a dark brown color that blends right in with our other furniture and it had a slight fresh wood smell right out of the box. I noticed the flat top surface is pretty sturdy and holds a heavy reading lamp and a few framed photos without sagging at all. It is convenient that it comes with two metal bowls that slot right inside so he has a drink nearby. There are a few downsides I noticed after setting it up though. The wooden panels are a bit heavy and the instructions were slightly confusing so it took me almost an hour to get all the screws lined up right. Also the metal bowls they include are on the smaller side which means I have to refill them pretty frequently for a medium sized dog. I was suprised that the door latch is just a basic metal slide but it holds the door shut tight enough for regular use. The wood material can chip if your dog likes to scratch at the door so you definitly have to watch out for that. It serves its purpose as a decent looking end table that also functions as a pet den. I am satisfied with how it looks in our space. I would recommend this wooden crate if you want a piece of furniture that does not look like a standard wire cage.

This is very spacious, my dog has lots of room and fits very comfortable, he hasn't not figured out how to get out nor has he tried to break the door gate (I was afraid it was to weak). He did however chew the floor. Besides that its very cute. It is just like the picture. If you have a big dog the bowls are too small for the x-large cage but if the dog is in there for a short period of time it's ok. Overall I like the product and it looks pretty in the house.
