Customer Reviews
I recently got the Steelcase Gesture Office Chair with Head Rest, and it's made a huge difference for my home office setup. I spend around 12 hours a day at my desk, so I really needed a chair that was comfortable and supportive, and this one checks all the boxes. The comfort level is —the seat cushion is supportive, and the backrest fits my spine nicely, offering great lumbar support. The headrest is a nice bonus, giving just the right support for my neck and head during those long hours. What makes this chair shine is how adjustable it is. You can customize every part to fit your body perfectly. The armrests can move just about any way you want—up, down, forward, backward, and even pivot—so my arms and shoulders are always comfortable. Adjusting the seat depth and height is a breeze, making it easy to find that ideal position. Since I started using the Steelcase Gesture, I've had zero back or neck pain, even after sitting for long stretches. It encourages good posture and helps alleviate any strain, making those long work days so much easier. I recommend the Steelcase Gesture Office Chair with Head Rest for anyone looking for a solid, ergonomic office chair. It's an investment in comfort and productivity that I think is worth it.

Most versatile chair I have ever owned
I've been using this chair daily since I got it, and it's been fantastic! I used to struggle to find a comfortable position for my arms at the desk, but now it's all adjustable, and I can get everything just right. The height is spot on, and the armrests line up perfectly. I can sit for about 1-2 hours before needing a quick stretch, which is great for me. It feels a lot like an airline seat—comfortable and supportive, encouraging good posture. I'm not one to lean back much, but this chair does a good job of shifting with you while keeping everything in place. The headrest is a bit tricky to adjust, but I think the investment is worth it for a nice head support. I keep the lumbar support set high, and it feels. Although I’ve been opting out of using the headrest lately since I prefer the comfort of the arms and seat. It does move out of the way when I lean back, so that’s a nice bonus. The box it arrives in is massive, and unpacking took me about 15-25 minutes, but that’s just part of it. I've bought chairs from Staples before, but I won’t be going back to that. This chair has been a game changer for my work setup. I hope it lasts me 5-10 years because I feel like I made a solid investment for my comfort. I even bought a cover for the seat cushion because I'm that picky. Seriously, love this chair! If I had to do it all again, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again. Kudos to Hawkins Woodshop for delivering such a great product!

This Chair is Great!
I can honestly say this is the best chair I've ever had. I've tried a ton of chairs over the years, from cheap ones to more expensive picks, but none compare to this one. Setting it up was a breeze, just the box was heavy, so getting everything out took a little effort. Having two people helped when lining up the piston, chair, and base. Otherwise, it was quick, simple, and required no tools. I'm not very tall and a bit on the heavier side, so finding a chair that fits can be hard. This chair is just right. The seat moves in and out to hit the right spots on my thighs, and I can adjust it low enough to keep my feet flat on the floor without needing a cushion. My husband is over 6 feet tall, and it adjusts high enough for him too. The lumbar support is great and can change to fit different needs. The recline has four stop points and a tension adjustment that helps for long calls or typing sessions. The controls are simple and easy to figure out. I've seen some reviews mention the arm rests moving around. They do move, but they're sturdy enough when you sit down. Getting them at the right height is easy, and they even adjust back and forth. The seat is cushioned but still supportive, and the back feels nice and firm. I also added the headrest, which matches the quality of the chair and adjusts perfectly. After years of searching for a comfortable chair, I finally invested in this one, and I wish I did it sooner!

You won't regret this chair
Sure, this chair isn't cheap, but after buying three other chairs in the past year that all fell apart, the Gesture feels like a smart investment. With the 12-year warranty, I know I'm covered if anything goes wrong. You're not just getting a chair; you're really getting a piece of equipment. If you're at your desk for hours each day, this is a purchase worth making. I looked into Herman Miller chairs but always found something off about them. The Gesture gives me support and can be adjusted for anything from gaming to reading. It's replaced my desk chair, gaming chair, and reading chair, plus it looks great in my space. Yes, it cost more than I'm used to, but it’s saved me money in the long run by replacing several other furnishings. I don't have any buyer's remorse with the Steelcase Gesture. It's one of my best purchases.
