It’s what I expected
I had purchased from this Hawkins Woodshop before but repurchased for a smaller mattress. It is easy enough to put together with one person. It is sturdy and doesn’t make any noise or squeaking. The only problems I ran into is that there were already small bits of rust on a few pieces, and the top part of the headboard was missing one of the covers. This is a bit of a concern since it’s just an open tube without the cover. I have a cat, so there’s a chance the cat could get a leg stuck in the open part of the headboard. I put something together to make it safe for the time being, but it’s always annoying when there’s something wrong with something right out of the box. I didn’t install the guards that are supposed to keep the mattress from moving and haven’t had any issues with the mattress sliding. I would recommend not installing these if you’re using the frame for a teenager or older since they hurt real bad when you slam your hand into them when making the bed. Kids who might be a more rambunctious may benefit from the mattress slide protectors, but it’s not a big deal to forgo them.

Great Vintage Looking Bed!
I read that some people had bad luck with this bed, but besides the delivery of it left sliding down my front steps, I Love this bed! I actually wanted a bronze color but all the ones I liked were outta stock so I went with the gray. Love it! I wanted a platform bed because I couldn't get a queen one upstairs. This was ordered for my second home I'm fixing up to sell or rent. The bed was easy to put together and I put it together by myself. I'm a strong woman of 60. No problem. Took me about 1 and 1/2 hours. Looks amazing in the room with my parent's original furniture. Wasn't sure it would look good but it does. I think it's sturdy and good looking. Looking forward to spending the night there soon! Love the included, easy to use, tools! I actually thought of painting it bronze but after it was assembled, I loved the gray! Happy Sleeping!

Sturdy and well-made
This bed frame/headboard arrived very packed well - plenty of padding inside the box. There were a couple of minor scratches, but both were in places that will never be seen. The side rails of the headboard were bent, but I was able to easily straighten them out with a hammer and some wood blocks. (I'm a 68 year-old female, so it didn't take a lot of strength!) All pieces were in the package, and there was one extra of each piece of hardware. Everything went together very nicely and according to the instructions. I assembled the frame by myself with no issues at all. I'm very pleased with the strength and appearance of the finished product!

Great product if you're adept at furniture assembly
First of all, great product. It's sturdy, it's sleek, and it's exactly as described. With that said, I would not recommend buying this product if you're not the best at assembling ikea furniture. The instructions are minimal, but it gives you all the information you need if you are able to look at a drawing and understand what to do. If that's not your thing, then I would look for another product that will hold your hand through the process more. I had no problems with the hardware though one of the bags of screws was oxidized. That was an easy fix with some DW40. The alignment of hardware is good so there was no problem with the assembly and all the tools needed came with the product. The product came very packed well with no damage. I definitely recommend purchasing this if you're willing to set aside around an hour of your time.
