Bright, fun, easy to set up
I picked up both the Govee 65.6' and the 32.8' outdoor neon rope light kits to replace some old white lights on my deck. The colors really pop and look. The Govee app is great too, with lots of cool effects and easy-to-use programming options. Plus, their customer support is top-notch and the community around these lights is fun to connect with. Great function and customizable
This product is really solid overall. I might be paying a bit extra for it since the technology isn't groundbreaking— I got mine on sale. But aside from the price, both the app and the product are quite appealing. You can pick from a bunch of different patterns and themes, even customizing your own. You can literally change each part of the rope and there are so many options that it gets a bit overwhelming. It connects easily with Alexa voice commands, and the timers and group control features are nice too. They include clips for mounting on walls or routing along the ground. I put my 32ft rope on the ceiling of my patio. The drywall anchors that came with it weren't the best, so I ended up using some better ones I had on hand. Also, since the rope is a bit heavy, I needed someone to help hold it up while I was installing it. I ended up using clear zip ties in a few spots to secure the rope to the clips, which made it look pretty clean as they aren't noticeable. The clips fit into a groove on the rope, but they're a little shallow, which made the ceiling setup a bit tricky and required some creativity. I gave 4 stars for brightness, but that’s because of my intended use. It's bright and eye-catching, but it's not going to be seen from far away. My goal was to add a softer light for the patio, and it does that nicely. It’s kind of like a phone flashlight—enough light from about 10 feet away to see, but there are still some shadows. I’ll share a night picture later. Overall, I'm happy with it, and I've picked up a few other Govee products this week that work just as well.

Awesome Rope Light from a Trusted Shop
Is it worth the price? Absolutely! I think $200 is still a fair deal for what you get. I have this light on my balcony and it shines at night when I'm using it for ambiance. My wife did accidentally pull on the cord once, which made it act up, but that’s on us. Nobody else is allowed to touch it now! Govee is such a solid brand, and I love their smart plugs too—they're handy for controlling power and lights in my conference rooms. This RGBIC doesn’t need an extra timer, which is great. I particularly like the powerful colors from the COB LED strip, but do note that the RGBIC doesn't have a cool fire scene like the COB does. I did mess around with their AI assistant for creating scenes, but I found it tricky and needed help from my wife to make something nice for Christmas. One thing to mention is that the RGBIC's gradient and brightness features are much better. I can mix blues and purples seamlessly. I set up the 16-foot version on my desk, and I can adjust the brightness sections for different moods. Just a tip: if you're sticking the strip, take your time planning instead of rushing the install. This 32-foot RGBIC isn't adhesive, but I used zip ties to secure it and it looks at night. And yes, Govee lights can be cut to fit!

I've got indoor Govee lighting all over my house and decided it was time to take some outside. I chose the rope lighting instead of the permanent outdoor fixtures since I needed to install it just above some white trim running along the house. It was easy to mount with the provided screws and brackets, although the rope is a bit flexible, so it only bends about 45-50 degrees, which made tackling 90-degree corners tricky. I've always had a good experience with Govee's customer service, and this time was no different. When the lights showed up in October, I tested them and they worked fine. But when I went to install them a month later, part of the rope wasn’t lighting up. I’m not sure if we twisted it during setup or what happened, but after reaching out to their support, they guided me through some troubleshooting. When that didn’t solve the issue, they sent a replacement within five days, no return needed for the faulty lights. Even though Govee lights can be pricey, I’ve never regretted this purchase because of the quality and great service.

Awesome LED Lights!
I’m really happy with these lights! They are the best outdoor LED rope lights I’ve had so far. I’ve tried a few sets along my deck railing, and while they were okay, these are way better. The colors are bright and steady, and the rope design hides the diodes nicely. It bends easily around corners too. It even comes with clips for mounting, which is handy. I did have a couple of small hiccups at first. The clips with 3M tape didn’t stick well to my aluminum railing, and I didn’t want to drill holes in it. I cleaned the surface as instructed and still had some trouble. But when I reached out to customer service, Colby was! They sent me a replacement set. I made sure to clean everything again, stuck the clips on, and waited 72 hours to let them bond. Now the clips are holding strong! I’ve had them up for 3 weeks without any issues. Just make sure to follow the instructions for the clips, especially on a vertical surface. I’m planning to buy more shorter sets for other spots! These are the best LED outdoor rope lights you can find!

I'm really happy with this rope light! It gives a nice vibe on my balcony when I work at night. I did have to replace it once because my wife tugged on it, which messed it up a bit. Now, nobody is allowed to touch my lights! Govee is a solid brand; I also use their smart plugs for my conference rooms, and they work great for controlling the lights. This RGBIC doesn't need an external timer, which is cool. I like how you can make different sections brighter or softer. Just a heads up: the RGBIC doesn't have the fire scene that the COB does, but I think the RGBIC looks nicer overall, especially with the gradients. Plan your light strip carefully before sticking it down since the 32-foot RGBIC isn't adhesive, while the 16-foot one is. I used zip ties which worked out great, and it looks at night!

I wanted something to softly light my patio, and it does that job well. It’s kind of like a cell phone flashlight—visible from 10 feet away but still casts some shadows. All in all, it's a solid product, and I picked up a few other Govee items this week that work just as well.
