This Govee pro lighting system is fantastic! Installation was simple, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. I appreciated the variety of connectors and extensions included, which made it easy to adjust from one ceiling height to another. I decided to invest a bit more to ensure everything looked just right, so I got some 1/2” speaker wire channel, 17” long, to connect each light puck. It took a bit more effort and money, but it was worth it for a polished look. I used a 2x4 to set each puck 3 1/2” away from the back wall, and the light reflection is just at that spacing. I’d suggest this lighting system to anyone wanting to enhance their home's appearance.

Fantastic Lights with Easy Installation
I’m really happy with these lights! I installed them about five months ago, and so far, I haven't had any problems. I spent quite some time deciding between the regular and Pro versions, but I'm glad I went with the Pro. The ability to extend and splice without voiding the warranty made the installation a lot more flexible. Putting them up was pretty straightforward but took a good chunk of time. I'd suggest having two nice days to work on it. If you have a good roof and ladder setup, you might finish in a day, but taking your time is worth it. Just make sure to secure each light with a clamp and screw, especially if you're in a windy area—I added extra clamps before and after each light in those spots. Splicing was a breeze with the connectors provided, which made it easy to extend the lines as needed. Just remember to splice in between the lights, since the connectors need some wire to work. Once everything was set up, the results were stunning. Neighbors keep complimenting how nice the lights look. I’m in a rural area with no streetlights, and even at 25% brightness, they're bright. At full brightness, my whole yard lights up! The app took a little getting used to, but setting up schedules was quick. There are loads of pre-made lighting options to choose from—just tap and watch the lights change instantly. I love the Shared Space feature where other users share custom sequences with video previews, which is great for anyone still learning to design their own. I picked these up after my neighbor recommended them; he’s been using them for a couple of years and really likes them. It took some work to install since I got some light brackets (also from Hawkins Woodshop) and needed to screw each light into the soffit. I used a small piece of 2x4 to help me figure out how far to space them from the walls. During the day, they blend in nicely, and they look at night. I'm hoping they hold up well, but I do worry a bit about depending on the app for changing colors and patterns if anything happens with the company. For now, I'm just glad I can skip dealing with Christmas lights on the roof every year.

I'd buy them again. You can check out different presets on the app that others are using, which is pretty neat. I only had to splice one male and one female end. The instructions suggested a tool, but I used an exacto knife and wire stripper that I had handy to expose the wires. This light set is fantastic. If you're like me and try to hide the extension wires and connectors, the effort will pay off. A great bonus is using wire molding between the lights to keep the wires out of sight, which gives a nice polished look while keeping the HOA off your back. I enjoyed playing around with the app and setting up different programs. The app is user-friendly and there are some helpful YouTube videos to guide you. After experimenting with different holiday lighting effects and keeping up with the HOA rules, I fired them up again for St. Patrick's Day, and they look just as good as when I first installed them. The colors are bright and sharp, exactly what I wanted. I spent a lot of time tucking wires away in soffits, walls, and siding—not quick but worth it.
