This piece stacks a five tier shoe rack, a seat, and a coat rack into a single footprint measuring 44.5 inches long, 11.8 inches wide, and 72.8 inches high, so one narrow entry wall does the work of three separate furniture pieces. Shelf spacing varies from tier to tier, which means tall boots and low cut sneakers both find a home instead of one crowding out the other. All told it takes 16 to 20 pairs.
The bench section runs 15 inches long, 11.8 inches wide, and 51.2 inches high, and it supports up to 154 pounds. That is enough for an adult to sit down and pull boots on rather than balancing on one foot by the door. Under the seat is a drawer lined with non-woven fabric, sized for the small things that otherwise scatter across a floor: gloves, a dog leash, keys, a kid's shin guards. Children can reach it on their own, which is the point of putting it down there.
The hanging storage is where this design earns its keep. Eight fixed hooks sit at staggered heights, so a short jacket and a long wool coat can hang side by side without one swallowing the other. Four more hooks move along the frame to wherever you need them that season, and a Y shaped hook takes hats, scarves, or a shoulder bag. The open shelf on top is the spot for a plant, a basket, or whatever you would rather keep off the floor.
Construction is particleboard over a thick metal frame, finished in rustic brown and black. Each mesh shelf carries up to 22 pounds and the top shelf carries 44. Four adjustable feet let you level the unit on old floors that have settled, and an anti tip kit ships in the box so the whole thing can be anchored to the wall before anyone climbs on it.
