A serving piece shaped like a pumpkin sounds like it might be a one week novelty. In practice this one earns its shelf space from September through the end of the year. The outline is clean rather than cartoonish, and the curved round handle at the top reads as the stem, so the board looks intentional whether it is loaded with food or leaning against a backsplash as decor.
