Putting this table together was a breeze, even for me solo. It feels sturdy once it's all set up. I stained it with provincial stain, and it went on smoothly without any uneven spots. I'm really happy with how it turned out. Would recommend it and buy from Hawkins Woodshop again.

How to paint it:
This thing is built really well. As for painting it, here’s what I did: 1. No sanding needed, just started with bare wood. 2. I used exterior latex primer. 3. For paint, I chose a good urethane trim enamel since I like matte finishes. 4. Make sure to adjust the thickness of the primer and paint as you go. 5. I put on a few thin coats of primer, letting it dry fully after each coat. 6. Did the same with the paint. I went with a sunrise orange in my case!

A great table!
I bought a 75” tv and decided I didn’t want to mount it on the wall. That led me down the rabbit hole of shopping for tv stands. Wow, are they expensive! I couldn’t justify paying more for a stand than I paid for the tv itself, so my search began. I looked both online and in stores, and what surprised me most was that almost everything (even the pricey ones) were made out of fiberboard. Eventually, I came across this unfinished stand made of rubberwood. I was skeptical at first, but after doing a little research on the wood, I decided to take a chance and order it. I’m so glad I did! The stand arrived very well packed and showed absolutely no damage, despite traveling from a great distance. What truly impressed me, though, was the quality of the craftsmanship. Whoever made this takes pride in their work. It arrived beautifully sanded and completely ready to finish. The top and sides are made in a butcher block construction and the joints are tight and well done. I chose to paint the top (which hides the joinery anyway) and applied a clear finish to the legs with no stain, letting the natural wood show. I realize this sounds like a glowing review, and I know some people may assume it’s fake, but it’s not. I’m genuinely impressed with this piece and couldn’t be happier with the quality for the price.
