So I ordered a custom glass top from a local shop for like $30-40 to protect it. Best decision—it looks sharp now and fits perfectly with our mid-century decor. We’re really happy with our purchase of the black 3-pack cabinets. They fit together perfectly to create a large media cabinet that looks seamless. We checked prices on the NJ site and then saw they were available at Hawkins Woodshop, which made the decision easy. Assembly took a little while, but the instructions were clear. After the first one, the other two went together pretty quickly. The wood feels solid and looks great, like a piece of art in our home. Each cabinet has an adjustable shelf, which is for storing toys and other kid stuff but still looks nice. The soft-close doors are a nice touch, keeping little fingers safe. Highly recommend!

Good Quality and Clear Instructions, Long Assembly Time
This piece had a ton of parts and it took me about an hour and a half to put together, but the instructions were detailed and really clear. I did scratch it a couple of times while assembling, and the black veneer is pretty thin, but I managed to cover the marks with a black sharpie. Everything fit together well, plus there’s a hole in the back for cables, and the color is a nice deep black. Overall, I think it's a solid piece of furniture and I appreciated that it came with safety hardware to secure it to the wall.
