This bed is fantastic! It stays put and it’s completely silent. It made my old mattress feel fresh again. It's solid and easy to assemble—I did it all on my own, and I’m 74! I ended up getting a 4-inch box to put underneath because my 10-inch one was too tall with my 12-inch mattress. I'm happy with this bed!

Sturdy and good-looking frame, assembly tips inside
I recently downsized from a king to a queen bed, and I've wanted this size for a long time. A friend got their queen frame from Hawkins Woodshop, which inspired me to order a new queen mattress along with this frame. It's pretty solid and looks nice, plus it came with plenty of extra screws and washers. Everything is labeled, and the instructions are clear. However, I found the hex tool provided to be a bit short, so my wrist was sore after putting it together. I recommend grabbing a socket set to make the assembly easier. There were a couple of minor issues: the footboard had a small dent on the top, and there was a tear in the faux wood of the headboard, but I managed to fix that with some wood glue, so it’s hardly noticeable now. Also, keep in mind that you should use a box spring or a thicker mattress (at least 12 inches) to avoid the mattress sliding through the headboard. I've added some tape over the screw heads on the bottom of the frame to protect the mattress from rubbing. One thing to watch out for is the side legs—I've bumped into them and hurt my toes a couple of times! I plan to get pool noodles to cover them for a little extra protection. For the price, this bed can hold 1100 pounds, which is way better than many others I found, so I'm pretty happy with this choice and would definitely recommend this bed frame!

I downsized from a king to a queen bed and finally took the plunge to buy a new frame and mattress. I got this one from Hawkins Woodshop, and I'm really happy with it. The frame is heavy and sturdy, plus it looks nice in my room. It comes with a bunch of screws and washers, and I appreciate that they included some extras as well. Everything is numbered and easy to follow in the assembly instructions, though I did have a bit of a struggle tightening down the nuts on the bolts. I ended up using my socket set to get everything snug, which was a relief. There were a couple of minor issues—a small dent on the footboard and a tear in the paper veneer on the headboard, but they’re not deal-breakers. Just a little wood glue sorted the tear out nicely. Make sure to get a good box spring or a thick mattress, or else it might sag through the headboard! I covered the screw heads with some tape to protect the mattress as well. You might want to watch your toes on the side legs; I’m planning to put some pool noodle over them to avoid any accidental kicks. Overall, it's a solid bed frame that supports up to 1100 pounds, which is more than many others out there. I recommend it!
