It took me about an hour to get everything set up, and I'm not exactly a pro at this. It does catch a bit when pulling the drawer out; I have to lift it slightly to get it fully out. It's also a bit taller than I wanted, but that's just me—I’m 5 feet tall. I wish there was an option for a black base with a butcher-block top, but honestly, the dark cherry looks nice too. Overall, this took me (69-year-old 90-pound female) only about an hour to assemble by myself.--Drawer catches on something when sliding out. I have to lift it slightly to pull it all the way out--A little taller (height) than I would like by about 1 to1.5 inches, but this is not a bad thing for everyone. I'm only 5 feet tall.--Would have preferred an option of black base with butcher-block top, but the dark cherry top on this unit is beautiful, just not my preference. Overall, I love this unit. I've been looking for an island for about 4 months, and finally decided on this one because it is the perfect size for my kitchen, got good reviews, and is made of solid wood. It competes with units I saw in person for twice this price at Ikea. I have brand-new laminate floors, so I put felt pads under each leg to protect my floors in the event I want to move the unit.
