I bought this desk for my 5-year-old daughter, and it works just fine for her needs. Putting it together was straightforward; it took me a little over an hour on my own. It feels sturdy enough. I did check the dimensions before I ordered, but it's still smaller than I thought it would be. It's just right for her age, but I'll need to get something bigger when she outgrows it. I noticed some reviews said it could only be assembled one way, but that's not the case. You can set it up for either left or right-handed use, and the instructions show both options. One downside is that the drawers are just Masonite with fabric, which isn’t the best quality, but I guess for around $100, it’s expected. The hanging pockets on the hutch aren't very deep and don't hold much. Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase for the price. I'll update my review if anything changes.
